What a time it was!!! The H-Beam party at this years finale to Nashville's Live on the Green was in full effect. Great crowd, great production, and great occasion. Dubbed "Scream on the Green" and invoking the Halloween spirit, H-Beam co-billed with Nashville's talented Here Come The Mummies and Eastern Block. All the characters were out and about. The Love Panda was spotted riding a borrowed huffy up and down 2nd Avenue and caused four cases of serious bruising in the banana flinging incident. The players were right on and having a great time with the rocking crowd who definitely were delighted to see the Flash Mob East Nashville Zombies make it out of the grave to participate in a little "Thriller" tribute. What Have We Done...

Everyone is all a bustle in the H-Beam world, and it's all over that silly Panda. Our first splash into the music video realm will be christened by our cuddly, somewhat gimmicky but always unpredictable stage show character, "Love Panda," and it's silly theme song that is already a fan favorite. Our decision to feature ol' LP was hardened when our hero Conan O'brien had to change his long running character "The Masturbating Bear" (whom we believed was a distant cousin of the Love Panda) into the forcibly adapted "Self-Pleasuring Panda" (whom we are SURE is a relative to our slap-happy Panda).We hope this is a big enough attention getter to convey the message, we think we could do great things together.

The filming process was great. We went through a shit load of tissues. Lots of different locations all over the greater Nashville area. Mellow Mushroom, Goldrush, Exit/In, Musica Statue, that back alley. The Panda behaved the whole time far as I'm concerned. Who or what the Hell is that dog-thing? I'm not sure if our next music video will have quite the absurdity, but who knows with us, right? Thank you Stayc, Tom, Kelly, Toph, and fellow co-workers. Also, thank you to all of you creative influences. I'll spare the names to keep your reputation clean.

We hope this video touches you as much as the Love Panda touches itself.

After comb-pletion of our newest project/family member, the head wackos made sure to put "it" away until time for the mustache festivities at the end of this month. We have incredulous evidence in the form of poorly twitted photos and twits from sometime last Monday night around 8pm that show our "it" mingling in the Red Door East with the East Nashville socialites. It seems that our "It" has a fancy for swingin' hip hang-outs, 2-for-1's and happy hours. Hay everybody. Big Charles Tuna here. Former pro race horse gone commentary extraordinaire. Keeping you crazy H-Beam fans in the know all things H-Beam.

What a wild Saturday night those boys of goo had over on the other side of the bridge. Full of poorly pronounced band names, tight jeans, and plenty-o-in-biding, the night started off with Evan P. Donahue, followed by the ever widening De Nova Dahl, and of course, the men of the hour, THE VERMICIOUS K'NIDS! Blazing out a down-right happy set in celebray of their new full length album. Thanks for having us out guys!

Then, at roughly 12:28 am Sunday morning, H-Beam took the stage. First was the East Nashville Survival Kit that Mitch Huffman sent, then, some great tunes off the new album "Useful Box Of Hair" (Shameless Self Promotion), Bart Durham and Bradley Knobbler showed up for some antics, the band was really getting into it, when all of a sudden the crowd erupted into an all out rumble! A full on fist fest! Sharks and Jets, tight pants and PBR cans everywhere! Windows were broken out with strong opinions, glasses were crafted into shivs and plows, Topher's pants were taken, no one was spared...

Then, H-Beam finished playing Banana and everyone calmed down. Finished out the set and cleared out the house. They wanted me to tell everyone thanks for coming out and they hope to see ya for the next episode.

On becalf of the ridiculous animal kingdom, stay clean, stay hydrated, and what a fun time ladies and gentleham. Oh what fun it twas.

The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) has placed "Useful Box of Hair" on their DNPL (Do Not Purchase List). It's sad news for all concerned. It seems, as we all know, Pandas are on the ESL (Endangered Species List) and need to procreate. You know DTD (Do The Deed). Not a PJ (Paw Job).

It seems the WWF does not want any Panda SHS (Spilling His Sperm) on or off stage other than in a FPV (Fertile Panda Vagina).

After speaking with an unnamed source from WWF, they are going to serve H-Beam at their next live performance with a CAD (Cease and Desist)
order unless there is a female Pandet involved in the SOS (Squirting Of Seed) without being saved for immediate API (Artificial Panda Insemination). Officials have notice that since the release of UBoH, the male Pandas who have listened to the perversion are growing extended bulk muscle tone in their right arms. As most environmentalists are aware, the only Pandas living are right handed. This must stop immediately.

Do not feel alone in this process. Panda Express (PE) will be ceasing immediately with their advertising campaign and be closing all restaurants claiming the economy as the reason. The fact is they are not providing anything edible for the Pandas or humans or anything living for that matter. After extensive research, it has been uncovered that the Communist Chinese Government (CCG) has been planning a take over of the USA (you know) and the WWF has found that many people "eating" at PE are having uncontrolled desires to eating chicken broth with chopsticks using only their right hands. Their debut album, Useful Box Of Hair, has the Dune Review Seal-Of-Approval and is certainly something to check out. When I say its a mix between Zappa and Patton, I mean just that. But in NO way is that a bad thing in this situation. I’ve heard bands influenced by Zappa and Patton before, and it sounded like absolute garbage. When bands try to pull it off it sounds tried and unoriginal, but H-Beam pulls it off so well that it makes you wish Frank was still alive so that he and Patton could do a double-album together."

"...Then H-Beam started. These guys are always a trip. They were introduced by a Tony Clifton type character wielding a chipping wedge and a purple pimp hat. This was just the beginning of the parade of characters to come through this show, as is typical with H-Beam. The music was really tight, as would be expected from a band that has been playing and listening to these songs in the studio for months. They have sort of a Flaming Lips/Zappa type sound with a stage show that could have been an episode from the Muppets. Leader Matt Walberg was excellent on that guitar of his. Russell Wright was a good stable bass substitute, as always, and the rhythm chicken on drums was really good too. Also props to him for the hand fart solo. Awesome. The show came to an abrupt awkward ending when one of the crazed mutant characters apparently pissed off the drummer enough to storm off the stage mid song. You never know, with H-Beam, this could have been planned although probably not the best way to encourage the crowd to buy your new record, which is probably why Beam did it. Kings of theatrics and drama these guys are. I hope Matt comes through on his promise for the next show to be "something we have never seen before." -Raul Kemp, Shows Big and Small

Not only did we get to share the stage with the notorious Space Capone and the Cooling System, but we were privileged to share the bill with who I personally believe are Nashville's finest entertainers, Here...Come...The...Mummies!

Great crowd, great vibe, great stage, great courthouse (Oh, the things we got away with on the courthouse steps). H-Beam's lineup was shamma lammin. The adorable Dylan Rowe on Bass, Ben J on the drums (Lost his H-Beam virginity on this show), Nathan Johnson and Topher Walberg on keys, always crowd pleasers. Stayc Givhan (you knew him as Bradley Knobbler ladies), Boots Hill making sure the screaming fans were at bay, and a big, steaming shout-out to Kelly F. with NOTeNEF Promotions pushing that "Useful Box Of Hair."

Thanks Chris Cobb. Thanks Mayor Dean. Thanks Nashville. We had a great time and hope you did too. It's refreshing to see the potential this city has.

Nashville's experimental rock group, H-Beam, has just announced the release of their new full-length album, Useful Box of Hair. With 17 tracks, word has it to be reminiscent of their live show performances including H-Beam's colorful array of characters, Mel Brooks style humor, and guitar-fueled rock and roll. In H-Beam news, it was a groundbreaking night at the Rutledge last Friday in Nashville, TN where H-Beam emerged from their studio hibernation chamber to pay homage to the great Boots Hill in quite a return to the Nashville stage. Due to Boots' love for hot dogs, H-Beam decided to present to the audience quite a salty treat during "The Tasty Plight of Portillo the Hot Dog." Along with the first ever 'Portillo Hot Dog Fiasco,' Mitch Huffman (Manager/Producer/Agent/Caterer/Allaroundbigdeal) recited a Boots inspired po-eem, Kanye West showed up with Bart DurHAM, and the H-Beam line-up was in top form. Four Part Harmony Scores Musical Win

`Sleeps With the Fishes' barbershop quartet named Far West
District High School champions.

Singing in perfect harmony does have its advantages. Just
ask four fabulous 17 year olds, Garrett Finley, Casey
Theule, Robert Davis and Matt Walberg.

They've taken barbershop quartets to a new level by
becoming the first group from the Santa Clarita Chapter of
the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of
Barbershop Quartet Singing in America in 28 years to win top
honors at the "Far West District High School Barbershop
Quartet Champions." The talented foursome, better known as
"Sleeps With the Fishes," competed among 13 other high
schools at the Far Western District Spring Convention held
in Fresno on March 17 and 18. In addition to winning the
championships, Finley and the barbershop quartet will be
featured on KABC Channel 7 at 9 p.m. Sunday.

Prior to winning the competition, Finley, a junior at
Valencia High, was nominated by his dad Greg Finley, and
chosen to be the "Cool Kid," of the month on the station's
special "Cool Kid," segment of the show hosted by newscaster
Henry Alfaro. The crew of Channel 7 paid a visit to Finley's
home on March 5, where all four boys were interviewed by
Alfaro. As a reward for being chosen as "Cool Kid," of the
month, Finley will receive a $1,000 U.S. Savings Bond.

Finley's mom Patti Finley said she couldn't be happier with
the success of the boys and their barbershop quartet. "It
was just a coincidence that Garrett was chosen as the `Cool
Kid,' at around the same time the boys won the competition,"
she said. "I'm so proud of them." Finley explained that the
boys were sponsored by the Santa Clarita Chapter of the
Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber
Shop Quartet Singing in America (S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A.).

"All of their hard work and rehearsals have paid off and
now offers are coming in for them to perform as the guest
quartet at other S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A. chapter shows," Patti
said. "Now they're ready to take their act on the road."

The boys were equally as enthusiastic about their success.
Finley said winning the contest in Fresno was a great
thrill. "We knew we had a good sound and I think the reason
we won is because we put so much of our heart and soul into
the music," Finley said. "We showed the audience the love we
have for the music and they really picked up on that. The
harmonies are so great, and the people you meet in
barbershop and the S.P.E.B.S.Q.A. are the kindest,
friendliest people around."

Finley first met up with the members of the
S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A., during his freshman year when he was a
cast member in "The Music Man." As one of the barbershop
quartet singers, Finley received coaching from the local
chapter of the S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A. Later, Finley formed his own
quartet at Valencia High School with the help of an outreach
program geared toward introducing students to the art of
barbershop quartet singing.

Meanwhile, at Canyon High School, Walberg and Theule formed
a quartet of their own. Both groups met with success at The
Far West District competitions held in Fresno last year.
Finley, Theule and Walberg would learn of each others'
mutual interest while appearing in the Canyon Theatre
Guild's production of "Joseph and the Technicolor Dream
Coat," during the summer. During the breaks, the three would
break out the pitch pipe and sing in harmony together.

The trio would later recruit bass singer Davis to round out
the group. They began preparations for this year's Fresno
Competition in February with the help of singing coach,
Keith Goudy, of the Santa Clarita Barbershop Chapter. They
also received the help of professional singers, Jerry Lovell
and Kelly Shepard of the barbershop quartet, "Countdown."

Canyon senior Davis said he has enjoyed his experience as a
Barbershop Quartet singer as well. "In retrospect, I don't
at all regret the vigorous rehearsal or late nights that we
spent preparing for the contest," Davis said. "Joining the
quartet has brought me some of the most enjoyable times of
my life."

For Canyon High School junior, Theule, becoming a champion
barbershop quartet singer has been a dream come true.
"Singing barbershop has been one of the greatest things for
me," Theme said. "It really trains a person musically and
the friendships you develop along the way are incredible,
and hopefully life-long."

Walberg, a senior at Canyon High enjoyed his experience as
well. "It was amazing and exhilarating experience to sing
with such a mature sounding quartet," Walberg said. "It made
me feel like we were a professional quartet, which in
reality, we now are." Walberg explained that the foursome is
already being booked for some paying gigs coming up in the
future. For now, the boys will continue to practice their
craft, while encouraging others to give barbershop singing a
try. "Anyone can do it- guys, girls, young and old-everyone
should try it," Walberg said. "Singing in a quartet has been
one of the most enjoyable experiences I've ever had."

I'm sure these Nazi's are all for eliminating sign-language as well.

Now, I'm not the biggest fan of our public education system. I find that we leave a little too much out at times when it comes to detail, screwed ourselves with standardized testing, cutting the arts, and we can't seem to stop leaving kids behind. But going waaaaaaay way way back in the old elementary active recall, my memory reminds me that God-fearing, English speaking, wine drinking white people did not spring up from the fertile North American soil like moles at Chuck-e-Cheese. They came, across borders, across continents, from oppressive nations, to kick their feet up on the most comfortable Ottoman owned by their giving and gracious neighboring civilization. I do remember something about a "NATIVE AMERICAN" coming up somewhere in third grade. Now, I personally did not get the chance to meet any original natives, but I read in some school sanctioned book of knowledge that the people cared about family, each other, surviving, giving back. There music was pretty bangin', too. Lots of masks, drums, smoke. Sounds kinda like an H-Beam show. Anywho, as far as I know (even by "Dances With Wolves" standards) most of the Native Indians who resided in America, English was not a first or a second language.

So what happens if some nation decides to come on over and setup shop in our backyard because they can. Do we speak Mandarin now? French? How about those damn cunning Swedes. Will we slap each other with fish all damn day when they are the majority? Here is an idea America (and I mean you, the ignorant ones): Let's be an example for unity, compassion, and chilled-out behavior. Open a book and learn a second language. Hell, I've met quite a few Americans who can hardly read more proficiently than a fifth grader. So let's work on getting our kids more cultured, and not give them the impression that this is only our America (God's white-Englishspeaking-coffeedrinking-Superbowlhaving-modelpuking-gimmethatbackit'smine society). We are a melting pot that has no limits as to who or how many may come to these ever-depleting lands. With so many states and accents, I could hardly understand a Southern drawl when I first moved out here. Spanish is actually a great language in my opinion. It's easier to understand than our fucked-up English system, there aren't three theirs, and quite a few words en espanol actually helped shape the English language. If everybody living in America would take the time to learn some simple greetings or phrases in other "common" languages, I think we'd be better off. I don't want to be lumped into the same group as the "Americans" who put the video together and I try to distance myself from it. English is not the best, and neither is America. Let's stop giving that impression that it is. The rest of the world hates it.

As far as the "number one" song/video in English speaking America goes, the artist couple currently referred to as "Looked What I stepped In, Honey" is as ignorant and lame as the mainstream music industry. They will probably be forgotten about as fast as the ladies awful haircut, bless her heart. If that is what's popular in America, then H-Beam doesn't wanna be. I'm sure the Swedes will understand us.

The next show will be translated into Spanish, Mandarin, Swiss, Panda, Frog, French, and sign-language for your listening/viewing pleasure.

At Least We Still Have Music, Beer, and Super Bowls

First of all, thank you for live music. Whomever is solely or jointly responsible for such creation, hats off. It is what we here at the H-Beam Workshop believe to be a "recession-proof" industry. We didn't make much money before, and we haven't made much after the results of the "sad-panda" bear market. Nonetheless, people are still going out and enjoying live music, or free studio music for that matter. Grooves are dug, beer and libations are consumed, super bowls are had. We still are going out and taking part in a scene.

Amidst the global crisis' that are plaguing this little blue planet, many below even our uber-wise and benevolent mainstream news sources radar, we as a global people aimed at peace and goodwill to our fellow man we believe are the majority. No matter how much some want us to panic and think that the world is headed towards the demon days (and how some may believe they are already upon us), positivity, hanging out and letting loose every once in a while will persevere. God and Dog willing, H-Beam will still be freaking you out.

We, H-Beam would like to send our thoughts, hopes, and prayers to those in trouble right now, whether it be job-related, family, or otherwise. It's a mess we're in and no one is safe from it. We will always do our best to try and furnish something that makes you laugh, smile, cry, or shout.

A few weeks ago, Kelly Fenton and Mare Camuso from the RedGorilla Music Fest and myself went up to St. Louis to present the last leg of the "Road to RedGorilla." We met up with Jimmie Jazz a.k.a his Holiness Senor Eddy and took a tour of the St. Louis Anheuser Busch Beer Factory. They laid an astonishing fact on us during our elaborate free tour: If AB stopped production of Bud beer and its relatives, the Mid-West would run out of beer in 18 hours. Now that, my friends, would lead to panic in the streets.

Music is what the world has in common. We will be alright... as long as we have beer, live music, and super bowls.

With a monumentally serious performance at the Windows Off the Cumberland "Renovation Debut" on New Years Eve, 2008, H-Beam rang in the new year with balloon solos, champagne toasts, a new fog machine, and all of the loveable characters you have come to know and love. Twenty-O-Nine is already looking to be a promising year full of new H-Beam material, a full length album, new videos, elaborate stage performances, as well as an expansion on H-Beam's web presence.

It only gets weirder from here folks, so to give you a little nibble, chew on this H-Beam preview of new music to come. It's gonna get messy.

A Very Serious New Years Eve : "Unveiling of the Windows Facelift"

With a resolution of no funny business, H-Beam is getting serious for the New Year, rockin’ in 2009 at the newly remodeled Windows Off The Cumberland.
“It’s just going to be a strait-laced rock n’ roll show,” said Matt Walberg of H-Beam. “It will be a night to celebrate Windows with good friends, and the love panda is not coming. ”
The black-tie affair will bring in 2009 with class, and will unveil a remodeled Windows interior. Over the past month, Windows has been collecting donations from loyal patrons, striving to bring back the charm of the old 2nd Avenue location.
H-Beam, known for their Monty Python-esque humor and onstage theatrics, will put the antics on hold for the night as they conduct a ribbon cutting dedication for the new Windows.
“It will be a night to honor the Windows family for great memories made over the years and those still to come. Windows has been a home to us, so we can get serious for a night and show our gratitude, “ said Walberg.

With Stayc Givhan taking the role as the best damn game show host this side of the Cumberland River (He blew Wayne Brady out of the water), the show was nothing but a great time. The Pond is always a great time with the staff making us feel right at home. Andy the bartender was lucky enough to be picked at random to be the contestant for the evening. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has found the time and budget to make H-Beam approved for all consumers. The commission appointed, set by a lunch-time deadline, adjourned with the decision to release H-Beam into the mainstream consumer market with a loud harrumph. Either in visual, audible, or edible form, H-Beam is guaranteed to work 80% of the time, all of the time. However, there was a lengthy side-effect list that would make Viagra users quiver.

The Freedom Dog Fourth of July Freedom Festivities

Not only was Boots (Windows on the Cumberland, H-Beam's Godfather) dishing out FREE Freedom Dogs for the patrons of our FREE Fourth of July show, but he played host for a great second annual H-Beam Independence Day Extraveganza. The Woodwork Roadshow tore it up both before and after the H-Beam set with the amazing Harris Gardner sitting in on H-Beam's "Thrifty Bitch" and "Cumberland Hop" laying down an amzing electric mandolin display.

The crowd was ready to party with a constant revolving door of new and old fans stopping in for the event. Thanks to Tom, Kelly, Stayc, Boots, Bobby, Harris, and all of our great supporters. Wish we could make every show a free one. Maybe someday.

Many of our fans were catastrophically concerned over the lack of H-Beam at this years Bonnaroo Art & Music Festival, but all of them realized and understood the importance H-Beam played educating the festival-goers on the eve of the festivities. H-Beam joined up with their pals Brent and Dylan of the Hollywood Kills to perform a Bonnaroo Info & Safety Seminar rock and roll extraveganza at Nashville's 12th & Porter. Many attended the seminar for their free squirt of Gold Bond and the tent-pitching workshop was a hit. Speaking of popping a tent, what a fantastic Love Panda for the evening. We may just have to release that one on YouTube. What an awesome show. Big sound. Big lights. Shout out to the Corleone posse.

What a wet, wild, and mysterious time at The Pond Thursday night. We had Dylan Rowe on Drums and Brent Powelson on electric bass and rhythm electric (The Hollywood Kills) and what a silly treat that was. Cheers to those young-and-accomplished musicians who already can pick up shit as cooky as H-Beam's in two weeks time; welcome to the volunteer army. You guys fuckin' rock. We will do it again no doubt. We had a blast, even wet our pants a little, hope you guys did to.

Just to clear up the rumors, YES, the Love Panda was beaten to death outside The Pond at our show... by himself. He got a little excited warming up over nakedladies.com and expired before entering for his H-Beam number. Detective Dick Racey (Stayc Givhan) responded to the scene and the entire audience with 1/2 of the band went out to check out the deceased Love Panda guarded off by red police tape. Returning inside, we pulled out our Golden Age of Detective Fiction kit and dressed up like british detectives circa 1910 (as a side note, Topher won the award for maintaining a british accent the entire set, hoora buddy). Throughout the set, our buddy Steve from BluesClues (spice J) who constantly denounced his identity, helped us draw out the clues on our Panda Pad. What an incredible artist. Dick Racey frequently checked in, with that damn commissioner on his ass, he was very fierce with his investigation. What an incredible detective.

The clues, a tissue box, an iPhone with nakedladies.com on it, a giant viagra found by the older gentleman believe it or not (his wife was very upset that he had to turn it in for evidence), and a stick-o-bamboo. All of the clues led to the conclusion that the Love Panda took it's own life in a crazy fit of self passion.

Thank goodness it was Detective Fiction we were celebrating. You'll see the Panda soon.

The Pond and it's staff are awesome. Justin, Erica, and Andy are great crime solvers. Thanks again to everyone who came out and had a great time. A very special thanks to Justin, Stayc, Dylan, Brent, and Mare, you guys help make it better. I could never thank you guys enough. Boom Ticket was a great outfit to share the night with. WHO'S KILLING THE LOVE PANDA?

PROLOGUE

The Love Panda was already late. Ten o'clock in the evening and it still couldn't figure out what to wear, eat, or smell like for it's night out on the Franklin kinda town. LP's vibrating cellphone was possibly causing more of the delay as it was nestled in a nice place, deep in a pocket; all of the LP's buddies and buddettes were already down at The Pond gettin' crazy with Nashville's own Boom Ticket. The whole city was in heated anticipation over the psychedelic rock band H-Beam to follow who had not performed in the greater Nashville area since their performance of the acclaimed rock-opera "JANE" at the Rites of Spring. The H-Beam set started at eleven and it was currently 10:40. The Love Panda hustled.

Quickly slipping out the back door with a hand full of wet pasta which slopped all over the perfect shoes the LP had slapped on, it revved the engine of it's VW bug and looked up to the Tennesee sky. Stars had become clouds. "Looks like it's going to be a wet one," the Love Panda giggled. The excitement began to grow as the perspiring panda raced towards the Pond in Franklin, passing through the lovely downtown district, just to loop around the fun round-about once or twice to look at all the beautiful people. The third time around, the LP was taken by quite a sight. Strewn about the Mellow Mushroom outdoor patio was an all out dry-hump-free-love session organized by the rowdy yet fashionably-in Target/PacSun suedo-hippies that frequent the greater Franklin area on Thursday nights. The LP, being a connoisseur of the impromptu love jump, had to juggle between the mayhem ensuing atop the Kosmic Karmas and Jerk Chicken Pizzas, or the highly anticipated H-Beam show he was already late for. In a rare act of self control, the Panda sped off towards the Pond.

Driving in the rain, the LP was feeling anxious over all of the wet bodies he could still envision at the mushroom. The car was getting hotter. It rolled down the window to it's hip VW Bug with those cute magnetic decals of peace signs, flowers, and a bummble bee. Now the LP was getting wet. It could see the street sign for Hillsboro Road where the club was located. The LP got antsy. Doing what a Love Panda inherently does best, it began caressing and relieving itself of the nasty thoughts that came from the Mushroom fiasco with a vigorous fervor that rivaled any of the LP's previous expulsions. The Pond was in sight. The Panda's Bug swerving side to side made it's way into the parking lot and found double parked stopping space that the LP found quite spacious. It was still going at it. The LP just couldn't shake the feelings of intense pleasure. It had to get out of the car. From the parking lot, the sound of H-Beam's song "Girls Gone Wild" could be heard which only spurred the Panda's self-loving marathon. Hobbling to the door, the Panda began to feel light-headed, but was in a great mood. Stars began to come out, the milky way looking down, The Love Panda was in love.

Against the building, shadows appeared all around the LP as it drew nearer to the entrance. All of a sudden, the Love Panda was sent to the ground lifeless. A young patron of the bar stepping out to use her new iPhone, stumbled upon the puffy panda body and let out a horrifying scream. "SOMEONE HAS KILLED THE LOVE PANDA!"

JANE gets an encore!

Well folks, we couldn't have asked for a better event last Saturday on Vanderbilt's Alumni Lawn. Lots of familiar faces mingled in with a ton of new ones, not a drop rain during the H-Beam set, the sound was fantastic, and the entire cast of our JANE production was on point. The best part of it all was how well received the lesbian-themed rock opera was to the Vandy crowd. Due to an already hectic schedule for the day however, H-Beam wasn't able to squeeze in the full 30 minute rock opera as planned (as a side note, Matt would like to publicly apologize to anyone on Great Big Shows staff, the Rites crew, or any affiliated party for throwing a tantrum over getting pulled early. His diaper has been changed and is truly embarrassed about bitching over a couple minutes of stage time. We love Rites of Spring).

Since we didn't get to present the climax of JANE, and we know that's the most important part, H-Beam will be presenting the original FULL EXTENDED version of the rock opera at Nashville's EXIT/IN Saturday, May 24th with our buddies The Running on the co-bill. Tickets will be far more affordable than the 2 day Rites passes, so all of the poor poor H-Beam fans out there can enjoy the lesbianish glory. It's gonna be sticky.

We here at H-Beam Pruhductions are thrilled about the recent hype and press over the eccentric and elaborate shows we have been planning for everybody. The fans are making it possible and exciting for us to put on such shows and we can't wait for the insanity to come. There's an album in the works and we've got the video from the past year in the editing booth as we speak. To all the Beamers out there, we got you covered This is a great year for the H-Beam world. Glad you're all a part of it.

Rites of Spring Press and Pics!!

H-Beam's performance at Rites of Spring was not for the faint of heart … or the sober. The psychedelic rockers opened up Alumni Lawn on Saturday to a whole new world where giant panda suits, frog masks and homosexual rock opera reigned supreme.

The band performed a rock opera titled "Jane," which details a Nashville coed's quest for self-understanding. The story journeys through a Nashville bar (which H-Beam hinted at being Vanderbilt favorite Fuel), to Cancun, Mexico, and back again, eventually leading Jane to discover and embrace her sexuality as a lesbian.

Characters featured in the opera included Jane's father (Admiral Doc Hop-a-long, a bass saxophonist crowned with a giant frog mask) and "The Love Panda," a mascot-sized panda dressed up in a Lil Jon costume complete with bling and dreadlocks.

Vanderbilt Music Group member Lauren Richman said she felt that H-Beam's performance was "new for the Vanderbilt crowd but well-received." Festival attendees enjoyed the opera, laughing along with the humor of the Love Panda while sympathizing with Jane's struggle with her sexual identity. Setlist at Tidballs 03/20/08 : What a sweaty mess

We we're celebrating "Beaster" Thursday in "Rolling" Green,KY (be purified in the bud of Christ my child) and everyone was out to have a good time. H-Beam hid plastic easter eggs all over the bar with little treats hidden inside (quarters, staples, peanut butter, condoms, you know, the usual). One egg had a very special "pink pussy feather" which if found guaranteed a sweet H-Beam CD and T-Shirt. How original of a prize. It was fun having the club patrons come up to us in the middle of the set to share their prizes with us. We will be doing that again!

It never ceases to amaze me how a little dive bar in the middle of Bowling Green, KY can always produce such a wild and crazy audience. If everywhere H-Beam played, Tidballs' crowd came, we would always be guaranteed a good time. The Postal Service opened up which made for a solid night of Nashville music. I will say that this show was the most interactively attentive crowd we have had in a while. Through all of the technical difficulties, you always appreciate what we do Tidballs. That's why we love you (please excuse the mushiness).

Although you may have had stars in your eyes when you heard that names like Spoon and Lil Jon are coming to Rites of Spring this April, let’s not forget a little Nashville-based psychedelic rock band that really harkens back to the days of Steve Miller, Hendrix and maybe even a little bit of Bowie. What group could deliver such an eclectic punch, you may ask? H-Beam, my friends - the answer to all your groovy, funkadelic and classic rock prayers.

The best place to start for their sound is definitely their Myspace profile, (myspace.com/hbeamlive) with five of their best tracks available for your cochlear delight. You’ll be greeted by "Cumberland Hop," which is a soothing rock ballad with a bit of a bluesy riff that will lull you into a bit of sway, if not a slow dance. This rolling rhythm is followed by the sexy and seductive bass lines of "Alla Really Wanna" with lyrics reminiscent of Steve Miller’s "The Joker" mixed with "Jungle Love." Red Gorilla Music Fest 2008 (RGMF) is officially over. Yes folks, the week that every indie hopeful dreams of has finally come to a close. The rocking sets have been rocked, the whiskey has been shwilled, and our mini-van, returned. This being our second trip to Austin, TX for the RGMF, we had a much better idea of what to expect from the live music capitol of the world.

The twelve hour trip from Nashville flew by as we (H-BEAM, accompanied by Tour Manager Mr. Tom Crowly) headed to central Texas with a recently acquired handle of liquid courage, our mini-van packed to the brim with gear, our excitement and adrenaline keeping us pumped. As we pulled into town, we knew nothing had changed. Austin was weirder than ever.

The RGMF had expanded to I believe four new venues making seven total on 6th street (please correct me if I'm wrong. There is no awesomely designed festival guide designed by Ms. Kelly Fenton in front of me). We pulled into town about 12:30am late Wednesday night/Thursday moring which was just in time to catch up with the boys in The Loft and the RGMF Staff. We turned in pretty quick.

Thursday March, 13th. The day of the show. We started off with a little morning wake up sesh, plenty of oranges, coffee and greens. Followed by a five minute trip to the 6th Street pandemonium, where we were able to catch the incredible sets by Nashville's AutoVaughn and the Hollywood Kills, as well as Tulsa's The Effects. Awesome shows guys. Thanks for making it out to ours.

After the rock, we grabbed some killer Thai and headed back to the van to prepare. Time to hit the streets. The Love Panda posed for pictures, the Rhythm Chicken wailed some gnarly solos, Hop-a-long promoted for the show, all amidst the total chaos of 6th Street. Too much fun. Lots of pictures and interviews. Send them here if you got em. I truly believe the outrageous promotional methods will soon become staple for the annual event. Plans for next year are already being made.

Fast forward past the smooth load in to the moment of truth. Show Time. I had heard of bands flying as far as Italy to play ONE forty minute set in front of a small crowd for no guarantee. That's RGMF/SXSW for ya folks. Thank God we only drove Twelve hours. Plus, WHAT A GREAT CROWD. The excitement and energy was apparent before the first note. It was go time and we were ready.

I truly believe it was one of the most energetic shows we have played to date. The notes were right on, the pinky's were well used, the banter felt natural. I speak for myself when I say I don't think I could have asked for a better performance. It helps having great guys to play with, and an incredible crowd full of new and familiar faces. Thanks again everybody for having a blast with us. Dylan (the Hollywood Kills), you were the perfect "Sex" Panda.

After the set, we quickly decompressed and got a night of debauchery underway. For those of you at the VelvetBrick after party, Topher's neck is fine and he is NOT the father. I will say that the Best Wurst is a fine bratwurst establishment and I highly recommend it if you have the means. We somehow made it back to our buddy Chris' house where we all managed to make it into our beds (couches and sleeping bags), and the day was over.

Friday was short-lived in Austin as we only got to catch our buddies in The Running and The Last Straw. (Sorry we couldn't stay the whole time guys). It was then off to Dallas to make a stop at the Green Elephant. The RGMF was over for H-Beam.

The Matt Walberg wrap-up:

After Decompressing at home all day Sunday, I can't even begin to tell you how much fun we had. Here at H-Beam, Inc., we are already plotting over new and more efficient ways to make the most out of RGMF next year. We're not looking for the majors to come swindling and flocking, just to get more of you die-hards listening to H-Beam. I love being a poor rock and/or roll musician and I have realized that I would not wish for any other path. I cannot wish for instant success for it is generally short-lived. Success will come in the form of longevity. H-Beam is doing this the right way. The weird way. The way that others have told us to abandon, to stray, and others to stay the course. I know I will play till I die, and I will be able to find the means.
I look forward to seeing you all again soon.

It's always fun driving 900 miles and still being surrounded by familiar faces. To all the bands, promoters, young entrepreneurs, and super-fans: Keep rocking, be safe and think weird till we meet again. Hopefully sooner that RGMF '09.

H-Beam’s triumphant return to the Green Elephant. Passed through last year on our way down to Austin, TX and they liked us so much, they asked us to stop by on the way back home and play their St. Pats festival. Wasn’t that nice.

This year they were gracious enough to have us back even after the horrible mess Aaron, the monkey and that lemon meringue pie made in the bathroom last year. Thank you Arthur for the great sound and working all the details out. Shannon, you’re too accommodating.

And Warren, congrats on that free burger. You deserved it. Hope that rash heals up. eeeh.

The Spring lineup for the H-Beam crew is coming up daisies. Along with working diligently on a new full-length album, H-Beam has a fantastic Spring calendar that will ease the anticipation for the Summer release. Since last March, H-Beam has stuck true to there word on developing and delivering an over-stimulating sensory rock show along with producing such events as Halloweeno Nintendo, The New Year's Wedding Around The World, and H-Beam's Camp "What Happens Here, Stays Here." The rest of the year is rumored to host the wildest H-Beam shows to date.

Along with being asked to represent the local Nashville music scene at Vanderbilt's "Rites of Spring" Music Festival, H-Beam is excitedly returning to Austin, TX this year for the Red Gorilla Music Fest. With new material and characters added to the fray, H-Beam will have no problem "keeping Austin weird."

Riding on the enormous success and great responses of the previous year, H-Beam will be returning to such cities as Chattanooga, TN, Jackson, MS, Dallas, TX, Louisville, KY, and St. Louis, MO.

The Show Must Go Long?

First and foremost, to all the fans that came out last night to vote for your favorite H-Beamers, thank you thank you thank, especially to those that stayed up way too late with us. Sorry about the late start guys. Also, to the Incredible Heat Machine and Zombie Bazooka Patrol crews, thanks for sticking around to the end as well. Both bands nailed it last night. Hope you guys had a blast.

And to the Loyal Family. Great job on bringing together some fucking phenomenal talent to put on three great nights at Windows on the Cumberland. Bobby, Boots, and Kelly. We love you guys.

TOM IS THE SHIT

When the campfire died down, all we have are the memories and Ron's photos of a pretty crazy night. We had a proverbial blast in the pants. Alas, Topher's European underwear, a homemade Totem poll, a wicked set, and our fans votes was not enough to surpass MoonTaxi's raw talent and their Belmont Brigade. Kudos guys. You are the most popular kids in school.

All in all, it will probably be the last "battle of the fans" we get ourselves into. It was great representing Nashville and getting in front of new faces, new talent buyers, and seeing old friends, but it just comes down to working yourself up over getting "VOTES." It for sure brings out a competition in everybody which I believe is both natural and somewhat unnecessary. OUR FANS ARE NOT VOTES! THEY'RE HUMAN BEINGS (sob sob, oscar moment). It shouldn't be about picking sides or being territorial. It's about good entertainment. Here's to the new and old friends in this whole thing that make me wanna keep rocking till I can't anymore.

I'd rather focus my energy making new animal heads or practicing arpeggios.

Camp "What Happens Here, Stays Here."

It's time to bust out your Stay-Puft Marshmallows, gather round the camp fire, and sing a roaring chorus of "Kumbayah" because the wacky wranglers of mayhem are taking you to SummerCamp this Saturday Night, March 1st.

The Summercamp Music Festival 2008 is a shindig taking place up in Chillicothe, IL May 23rd, 24th, and 25th that includes such artists as The Flaming Lips, Moe, Umphrey's McGee, and some band named Widespread Something-or-another. The organizers of the festival have created a traveling "American Idol" (minus Paula Abdul hooking up with contestants) that is scouting the states for talent to play the Summercamp Festival. Each city has a winner, who in turn get to play at the festival. The winner is determined by voter turnout. That's right folks, just in case you needed even more caucuses.

H-Beam is generally aware that these things are a popularity contest. Bands sabotaging equipment. Malicious comments made about some lead singer's pants no being tight enough. Two rivaling guitarists entering into an all out face melt bonanza. We've all seen it play out before, some a hundred times.

H-Beam just wants to go to camp. So here's there solution that will make them happy regardless.

Sign on up you happy campers. H-Beam is going camping in there own sick and twisted way. Taking the whole SummerCamp thing a direction only obvious to the ridiculous nature of the trio. Hike up your socks, dust your canoe, and pitch a tent cause it's gonna be a nutty one.

H-Beam Will be performing last of four bands in the evening. The bus leaves at Midnight to Camp "What Happens Here, Stays Here." Rumors of Crazy girls across the lake, shorts up on a flagpole, plenty of references to "Race For Your Life Charlie Brown," and I do believe the Admiral Doc Hop-a-long will be swamping by for a blistering lick or two.

That's right ya'll. Just read the blog below and you'll be keen on what we were going nuts on last night. The Love Panda was at a prime performance while our resident Canadian "Panda Handler" added a touch of class to the entire event. Bangladesh and Mindset Defect were two very rockin' metal acts that made us feel totally at home. We had a great crowd response which makes me wanna promote and bill some more shows towards the heavy-shred-goth-fantasy-math-metal-rock side of life. They seem to understand our humor. When I say they, yes, I mean you. Thanks for having fun with us. You fucking rock. Thanks again Andy and Stayc. The sound was superb Brodie!

H-Beam celebrates Canadian Love Panda Day

Not only is tomorrow Andy birthday. If you were Canadian, you would be celebrating Canadian Love Panda Day.

All the little children across the Rockies duct tape or fasten his or her long underwear onto the toilet in hopes that when they sleep, the Love Panda will creep creepily into there room, stare at the children for an uncomfortable amount of time, and proceed to the bathroom. There, the love panda begins his loving ritual and emits, along with gleeish shrieking, a gift beyond compare.

This Panda love drop can be used for a variety of purposes. Included but not limited to, toothpaste, antibacterial ointment, hair-gel, toast spread, lubricant, and has the burning equivalent to 10 gallons of diesel fuel. Some say it has the medicinal qualities to cure some flagrant cancers.

The story of the Love Panda dates back to early Egyptian days when many revered the Love Panda as a sacred animal that loved himself beyond all others. We’re talking way before Narcissi.

The ultimate fate of any Love Panda is the attainment of “one stroke too many.” The LP at a ripe old age will have a bad day and really take it out on himself. He pleasures himself to the point where none of God’s creatures should please. The LP then erupts into a fountain of fur and skittles that are even better than the ones you buy at the store. The LP is then renamed.

Throughout time, the LP has been renamed a total of 2037 times. The current LP was born at the Beijing Vet Center in 1959 and was smuggled by renegade Asian Mounties to the sweet land of Canadia. In 1967 The LP was christened in Vancouver and helped spark the short-lived Canadian “Free Loove, Eh?” movement. The movement, ending rather confusingly, was able to squeeze out a National Holiday that everyone could use as an excuse to not work.

So, you little Canadian rascals, hang that long underwear, you may want to wear earplugs, cause tomorrow, February 9, is Canadian Love Panda Day.

The Buzz Around Town

That's right folks. Don't touch that dial. H-Beam has made it onto Nashville syndicated radio. With a few spins already tallied last week, "Bang" is receiving air-play on 102.9 the Buzz. Also, this SUPERBOWL Sunday just got even more super because it will be followed by an on-air interview and performance by H-Beam on 102.9's "Local Buzz." The show will start at 10pm central. Big time, here we come.

Hold on to your hats everybody. H-Beam's Tennessee tribute anthem "Cumberland Hop" is headed down to Rodney Mills Masterhouse to get ready to roll through Tennessee and straight to the ears and hopefully the hearts of all fellow Tennessean's. We're letting everyone know how much we love kickin' it straight southern style. The people are too nice. Even most of the die hard red-necks. So get yer jack, jim, or kickin'- chickin' ready, we're having a party when this thing hits the airwaves.

Also, just for you science nuts, we sent the track to UC Berkeley to do a close-up high-frequency hyper-microscopic laser-guided photo-spread of the song itself (we had a friend who owed us a favor).

Ok folks, this is a inside look as to how we are making some of the crazy shit for the stage shows, but I would like to seriously convey that these thinks come to life, have a birthplace, a favorite color, a hobby or two and in no way are inanimate, emotionless, or financially stable, pretty much like you and me. So, without further ado, here is miss Olivia Boxer, Topher's Bride for new year's!

Started out with two balloons, one bigger than the other. Paper-mached 'em both. Used a flattened out water bottle to bridge the two circles together. I went through 4 balloons before I could get one not to pop. Lots of Duct tape. And swearing.

It's beginning to come to life... Used felt for the upholstery.

How the hell did he get in here.

You can see where the person in the suit puts his/her arm up in the head to man the launcher.

Isn't she beautiful. Neon pipe cleaners and yarn for the mane. Used stiff felt pads and foam for the horn. A nice veil for the bride. We're all set.

Using the fuel of imagination, H-Beam will jetset the audience to the world's New Years' hot spots filled with crazy characters, worldly party facts, and performances in every continent with plenty of regional satire. H-Beam will return to host the wedding at Windows on the Cumberland with hometown favorites The Loft playing the reception directly following the ceremony. So prepare your best attire, get out your passports, and don't forget to R.S.V.P.

Well fellow Beamers- H-Beam is touring lightly over the next few months as we focus on writing new material, recording new tracks, and spending time with our families over the holidays. Our last shows of the year are still quite exciting as we continue to break new ground 'til the hour closes 2007.

We'll make it to play St. Louis for the first time. We've rolled thru there to get to other gigs, but never had the pleasure to play there. November 30th it's on at Panama Red's. If you're in the area, come down and check out the show. We're looking forward to meeting the Loyal Family folks!

December 1st marks the first time both Corleone (www.corleonemusic.com) and H-Beam share the stage at the new location for Windows on the Cumberland. It is going to be a hella party, that's for damn sure. Nashville mark it on the calendar. It's a Saturday night, we gonna rock this shit right!

As we continue into December we are also gonna step onto Auburn, Alabama ground and play hard to gain Auburn family at Rooster's on December 14th. We've played in Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, and Huntsville before and can't wait to spread some H-Beam music to AU!!! After Auburn it's our mission to get back to the Mission in Augusta, Ga on December 15th. Our last stop in Augusta proved to be a journey for the books.

Closing out our absolutely amazing groundbreaking 2007 H-Beam year, we must say there is no other place we'd love to bring in the New year with other then Windows on the Cumberland. We're playing with our good friends and incredible rocknrollers The Loft (www.lovetheloft.com). It's a dress to impress event- and wait until you hear what we have in store for you.

It's almost Halloween once again and while most of Nashville prepares for hordes of candy crazed, snot nosed tykes to descend like locusts upon their homes, H-Beam is brewing up a no holds barred tribute to the most beloved childhood toy of our generation, the Nintendo Entertainment System.

Grab your controllers, light guns, and power gloves, and join H-Beam as they bob and weave through the 8-bit auditory wonders of yesteryear, intertwining the soundtracks of classic games such as Castlevania, Super Mario Bros., and Mike Tyson's Punch-Out with liberal doses of their own improv-adelic rock and roll lunacy.

Add in a stage show that pays tribute to our pixelated heroes of yore with full character costumes and blocky sprites galore, and you've got a recipe for an all-out memory-lane meltdown. Don't forget to tell your mom you're coming over and remember, if it doesn't work the first time you put it in, blow on it and try again.

Imagine a rock superstar mothered by Nina Simone And Fathered by George Clinton, a musical Frankenstein love child with the left arm of Jimi Hendrix, the right arm of Bootsy Collins, and the soul of James Brown. With the vocal chords of Janis Joplin and Aretha Franklin. A lanky, multi-instrumentalist who raids the wardrobe of Sly and has the cool of ten Princes. If you can fathom such a creature, I present to you Whild Peach and their brand of Slunky music.

Forming in Dallas, Texas, Whild Peach made the move to Atlanta in 1994. After their deal with Capital Records went sour, the band started over again on the show circuit hitting the biggest venues in Atlanta. After breaking down Atlantas genre partitioning walls, the band assembled a bandwagon on which the likes of Atlantas most respected artists jumped.

While the rappers tend to get all the credit, Hip-Hop music particularly the southern kind, which relies heavily on live instrumentation doesnt get made without the work of musicians like the ones that make up Whild Peach. Theyve spent the last ten years working on projects with Goodie Mob/Joi/Cool Breeze/Lil Will/ Khujo Goodie/Sleepy Brown/The Ali Movie Soundtrack/The Scooby-Doo Soundtrack and most notable among these efforts is their collaboration with Outkast. Beginning on Outkasts second album and continuing on to their newest record, Speaker Boxx/The Love Below (which includes two songs co-written by the band), Outkast and Whild Peach formed a relationship that included co-writing, lending a hand on vocals and instrumentation and eventually manifested itself as Whild Peach becoming the backup band on the groups tours.
But Whild Peach is more than just a backup band.

Another Rockin Weekend

It's always nice to hit the road after a long week of day hustling to find an open road of Rock n Roll. It's just too bad we don't have AC in poor ol' Walter.

Bowling Green is still kickin'. Thanks again John and Tidballs for making H-Beam feel at home. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOM! And how about Columbia, MO folks. What a town. We got to rock with the cocks out at the Blue Fugue (a killer bar with a built in library!) with the rocknroll equivalent of green berets The Effects and the soulful expressionists John Henry and the Engine. Big thanks to Dalton of The Effects who jumped to the roll of the Love Panda and proceeded to educate the audience on the importance of self-love. Shout out to PoopDeth!

We have been invited to showcase at this year's Next BIG Nashville.

What is Next BIG Nashville you ask? Read below the Q&A with organizer Jason Moon Wilkens. (Source: www.nextbignashville.net)

Q: What is the purpose of the event?
A: "The inaugural NBN was conceived and executed in three and a half weeks in 2006 as a way to celebrate what was a banner year for Nashville's rock/pop/indie community. It was originally meant to be just a one-night party, but it quickly grew into a three-day festival that drew nearly three thousand people. Obviously, this year has expanded exponentially, which is a reflection of how dynamic Nashville's music scene is at the moment. The basic reasoning behind it was that it seemed like we needed an event like this and the artists, the industry and the city as a whole have overwhelmingly agreed with that assessment. It's a truly exciting time to be a part of the music community in Nashville and to be living in such a vibrant and growing city. More than anything else, I wanted to build an event that echoed that excitement. Nashville is evolving and expanding beyond its former image into something more cosmopolitan and eclectic but still decidedly southern and I wanted to create a musical reflection of that."

Q: Is this a showcase/industry event or a public festival?
A: "It's both. It's an easy 'one stop shop' for any out-of-town or in-town industry professional interested in what is happening in Nashville's music scene at the moment. It's also a chance to showcase the growing community of industry professionals who work outside the Music Row mainstream but whose work helps tie Nashville to the international arena. And it's an opportunity for Nashville music fans to see their favorite acts play together in a festive and communal atmosphere and hopefully to be introduced to their new favorite band along the way."

Q: Is this a strictly non-country event?
A: "No. While the bulk of the artists fall under the rock/pop/indie umbrella, NBN invited numerous country and Americana artists to participate, specifically targeting the artists who are active in the live music scene."

Q: How were the artists selected?
A: "There was no submission process (that may change for next year). We relied on a wealth of music industry sources (managers, label reps, publishers, performing rights organization reps, agents, club owners, other artists, journalists, radio people, lawyers and so on) to help target the artists who best represented this moment in time in Nashville and Middle Tennessee's music community. Obviously the focus was on rock, pop and indie acts, but those artists make up the bulk of the live music scene in Nashville so they logically make up the bulk of the NBN lineup. For sponsored nights we worked directly with the sponsor, such as BMI, to choose acts we both felt fit the festival. We also reached out to out-of-town artists (those tied to Nashville either through members living here or through having business or historical ties to the city) as a way of showcasing not only Nashville artists but the growing community of industry professionals whose work outside the Music Row mainstream and help tie Nashville to the international arena. For the record, we could easily have added one hundred more acts without diluting the quality of the music...such is the incredible wealth of talent here right now."

Well hello all you fellow Beamers. We are about to round out the month with shows in Bowling Green, KY, Columbia, MO and Jackson MS. And as September rounds the corner we will be showcasing at 3rd & Lindsley for the Next BIG Nashville event on September 6th and supporting progressive rockers U-Melt in Knoxville, TN on the 8th! If you would rather catch us in the daylight- we are playing a ROCK fest in Johnson City earlier that day (at 2:30). Check it- We are sharing the bill with Mod-rockers Ligion and Hot Action Cop, metalmen Shadows of Light, and more hard rockers at the "Chainsaw Circus". We know we can rock that hard, but can they handle the crazy antics of the H-Beam? Either way, East Tennessee on the 2nd Saturday of September will surely rock the house. The Vexfest rundown...

What a weekend folks. Starting off with a great night in Knoxville, we then ventured up North to play in Youngstown's Vexfest IV. With our very own Miss Kelly Fenton (NOTeNEF Promotions) coordinating the stages, we played to 4000 people at 7:30pm on the main stage. What a memorable event. Thanks to all the new fans, the people who didn't quite get us but stuck around anyway, and all the Vexfest staff; kudos on a job well done. Rock and Roll!

The Open Road Lies Ahead...

H-Beam is gearing up for a solid season of melodic mayhem and improvisational angst as the road is leading all the way to the RedGorilla Music Fest in Austin, TX. We have a pretty full calendar for the next couple of months and it's only gonna get busier! With new material, new costumes, and some of the same-old wacky crap, check back often to see when H-Beam will be rollin' thru your town.
